The NBA regular season is about to begin, MLB is in its prime, and there are more sporting events on the horizon. The Baltimore Orioles return to South Florida for the first time since ending their three-game series with the Oakland Athletics on April 2 and 3. It is the Orioles' 14th spring game and their first in Oakland since April 14, 2014.

The City of Sunrise provides players with free parking on the Oakland Park parking deck and parking garages in the park. Pickup games are allowed during parking time, and pickup games are also allowed at any time of day, night, and during post-game activities.
The swimming pool is open seasonally and the park offers guided horseback riding, hiking and mountain biking, as well as other activities for children.
The park is open to the public daily from 10 am to 5 pm and from 5.30 pm to 7 pm, Monday to Friday from 9 am to 10.15 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 7.45 am to 8.20 pm and Monday to Friday.
The water playground on Castaway Island is open seasonally from 10 am to 5 pm and from 5.30 pm to 7 pm, Saturday and Sunday from 7.45 am to 8.20 pm. Cycle path: Cycle path on the east side of the park, with a cycle path from the parking lot to the picnic area. A cycle path at the southern end of the park with two cycle paths and two cycle paths on both sides.
Walk on the west side of the park, with a cycle path from the parking lot to the picnic area and two bike paths on both sides.
The following tennis centers and parks are located in the city of Fort Lauderdale and are maintained by the city Department of Parks and Recreation. Children of all ability levels are invited to have fun and to move around in an environment that is not competitive. Leisure Services encourages friends, family and players to attend sporting events and cheer on the team. You can join the Oakland Park Softball Club's Adult Football League and experience all the benefits of senior softball. The adult football leagues are offered in March, April and May, when the fields are closed for annual maintenance.
We also host a variety of top-notch tennis facilities and outdoor activities are endless. We also offer a concert series and host national events such as the annual Oakland Park Music Festival, Oakland Parks and Recreation Festival and many other events.
